This is a very charming gastropub with tasty food, slightly up scale take on comfort food, lovely patio, breakfast, and tasty cocktails. Menu items like an acai bowl, heirloom tomato salad, duck and pancakes -- you get the idea… *outdoor seating

This is our Near Northside go-to for great drinks and food. Local/laid back feel. Easy to spend a few hours here with the super chill vibe and (did I say) great drinks. And prob only a $5 Uber ride, too!

only a few miles away is a vibrant foodie scene with a nice patio, also offers brunch. healthy food with a bar. Also open a little later which is nice for a night on the town.

One of the best new bars in Houston, with top notch cocktails and bar food. Try the duck and pancakes. Trust us. We haven't tried the weekend brunch there, but it should be great.
