Sightseeing
A small fort, with a great view of the Eastern areas of Nassau. Check out the cannons and enjoy the view. It is right beside Montagu Beach, and a nice park, as well. 25 min. walk from my place.

Public beach access to the quieter end of Cabbage Beach. The Beach Club also has a minimart, to pick up a snacks or drinks, and a poolside grill where the public are generally welcome (just ask!).

Love Beach next door is lovely. So is Compass Point - colorful islandy boutique resort - bar, restaurant, hang out for the day here ($20pp day pass). Close to the airport so good for your last day!

It's pretty cool - you have to see it, perhaps, to appreciate the work that the slaves went through, carving these stairs out of the rock of the hill.

A beautiful island with lots of fantastic snorkeling & gorgeous beaches - you do need a boat to get here, and there are quite a few that will take you - ask me about these!

Nassau Glass Frame Ctr has a LOT of beautiful Bahamian art (paintings & prints) for sale - you don't need to buy a thing buy can easily spend 30 mins. "window" shopping!

You can't walk out on the dock, but you can see them very well as you walk along the waterfront.
At the entrance to the dock are surrey (horse & carriage) rides.

Luciano's is pricier but has good Italian food.
Both are waterfron with a nice marina & Paradise Island view.

Have heard good things about their food, reasonably priced - B,L,D. AND it's in a souvenir shopping strip AND it's across the road from Marina Village (i.e. Atlantis' outdoor shopping & dining area).

Before the Fish Fry there was (and still is!) - Potter's Cay. Small "shack" restaurants w/ all kinds of Bahamian food. And beer! Watch conch salad being made.

It's a Fort! Open every day from 9am until 4pm & worth a walk through - climb on a cannon for a photo, enjoy the killer view of the ocean & the harbor, and check out the dungeons!
