On sunny days you can sit out on the deck chairs with your preferred drink or down on the bench in the small garden. If you are here in the summer you will be able to pick some strawberries - we planted them for our guests!

We are in easy walking distance to Steampunk Oamaru & the Victorian Precinct. Sit in our sunroom & look over Oamaru, watch the sunrise or set & listen to the penguins leaving each morning or returning home. The perfect location for the varied events our town hosts. A 2nd DETACHED room as an additional bedroom is available (see photo, fees apply) The cottage is equipped with microwave, stove top, toaster, kettle and basic utensils to prepare a simple meal. Private, delightful garden & decks facing the sun. Outdoor seating provided. Your well behaved, house trained dog is welcome to stay. Guests can wander the gardens, walk down to the lake and sit on the boardwalk to take in the scenery, wildlife and glorious sunsets.

Enjoy the stunning east coast views of this brand new holiday home overlooking Kakanui Beach and river. There is plenty of room to relax or work with an open plan breakfast bar, lounge, and dining area. Take in the morning and afternoon sun on the front and back decks, and enjoy the ambience of the wood fire in the cooler months. Kakanui is popular for dog walking, whitebait fishing, surfing, and whale spotting! Easy 12 min drive to Oamaru town, or 20 mins to Moeraki boulders.

This is an entire apartment with views to the Ocean. It is cosy and quiet and only 5 minutes from Oamaru but set in a beautiful rural environment. A new kitchen, a cosy loungeroom and private courtyard with barbeque and separate entrance. Tea, coffee, milk and basic supplies in the pantry, homemade bread and a sample of our own honey . Breakfast cereals provided . You will love it. A pleasant garden and views top it all off....while being handy to town.

Shepherd’s Rest - outdoor bath, alpaca & sheep

The Shepherd's Rest is a Shepherds Hut and glamping experience. The hut is situated on a 300 acre bull beef farm and approx a 5 minute drive to central Oamaru. Unwind in the outdoor bathtub (gas heated). The 3 alpaca & pet sheep are your friendly neighbours. 4pm Farm Tour for additional fee. The country location is the perfect place to relax, star gaze, enjoy the scenery, birdsong & farm sounds. It’s a great base to explore Oamaru & the Waitaki area.
