Acacia Cottage at Wattle Valley Farm

Acacia Cottage is a recently refurbished modern country cabin on the doorstep of the Hunter Valley wine region, which makes this an ideal base from which to explore everything this region has to offer. The cottage is situated on Wattle Valley Farm adjacent to our living quarters and a short walk to the iconic Wollombi Brook. During your stay, you might even come across some of our friendly native residents like wombats, kangaroos, playpus, echidnas, goannas, kookaburras and black cockatoos.

Travellers’ Rest - Historic cottage with hot tub!

Built in 1837, this historic gem operated as ‘The Travellers’ Rest Inn - a place for Drovers bringing cattle and other livestock to Sydney. Today, the iron bark ‘slab hut’ is remarkably in tact with the addition of some mod cons and creature comforts. Cosy enough for a couple and large enough to accommodate friends or a family, the cottage sits on beautiful 5 acres abundant with fruit trees and backing on to the Wollombi Brook. Stumbling distance from the famed Great Northern Trading Post.
