Its thick brick walls and quiet and pretty disposition, defy its former role as a working yard where timber yachts were crafted and repaired, drawn up inside at high tide. Wivenhoe is an undiscovered gem on the Essex/ Suffolk boarder, a sailing town full of artists and eccentrics! It is a great mix of tranquil riverside charm and holiday buzz, with plenty of great little restaurants, pubs and shops. The house is Tudor, built 1580. Lovingly restored and very cozy!
