Welcome to Smith Family Farm! Our fifth-generation owners converted the historic family farmhouse into a charming and functional Minnesota vacation house rental. With sleeping arrangements for 10 guests, modern amenities, and 36 acres of private land, our property offers everything you need for a peaceful getaway. Originally built in 1876, the 2,250-square-foot house has two stories, three bedrooms, and two bathrooms, and an additional murphy bed in the sunroom. Full Kitchen, Dining, Living.

The Bungalow at the Healing Refuge

Welcome to The Healing Refuge! Come experience life on a Minnesota farm nestled in the rolling hills of the Driftless region. Relax out on the deck, swing in a hammock among the trees, or enjoy a walk through our beautiful cover crop fields. This is a working farm and depending on the season, you are welcome to help collect eggs, learn from the horses, observe the farm animals, and find out about regenerative agriculture. We want your experience at our farm to be relaxing and refreshing!

Our Little River House

A cozy, 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom home nestled in the bluffs of Fountain City, WI two blocks off the Great River Road. The house sleeps seven comfortably w/ four brand-new extra-long twin beds that can be combined to form two king-sized beds. There is also a queen-sized bed with a single bunk bed above it in the master bedroom This house has a fully stocked kitchen, fenced-in backyard w/ fire pit, off-street parking for 1 vehicle and view of the Mississippi River from the kitchen window!

Hill Street House is the quintessential river-town residence, located within walking distance of Fountain City's quaint downtown, legendary pubs, and riverfront, but just far enough from the highway and trains to still get a good night's sleep. Perched snuggly on the bluffside overlooking the Mississippi River, you'll see an ever-changing panorama of river boats, barges, and birds in flight against a backdrop of Minnesota bluffs in the distance and a jumble of rooftops below.

The Guest Nest

Escape to the Guest Nest! Immersed in nature, the beautiful landscape of the Driftless region valleys are one of the world’s most beautiful locations to explore. Walk the roughly 2 acre yard of grass and wildflowers. Enjoy a cup of coffee by the creek. Play a game of horse shoes. Or just sit on the deck and enjoy all the sights and sounds and solitude. Watch for deer, turkey, an occasional black bear, and an abundance of song birds, humming birds, and other small critters.

The Little Train Depot is a comfortable space for you to relax while visiting the quaint river town of Winona. There are a number of things to do in the area including; the Midwest Music Festival, Great River Shakespeare Festival, Frozen River Film Festival, boating on the Mississippi, visiting our local museums or vineyards, enjoy the unique Lark Toys, shops with local artisans, visiting our weekly farmers market or just relax by the lakes.

Pleasant Pastures, Dakota MN

Get cozy and settle into this rustic space. Spend some time at our farm in SE MN enjoy watching the cattle graze, beautiful Ridge top sunrises & sunsets and enjoy an outdoor meal with one of our delectable steaks! This is a true working farm, our family operates 600 acres of crop land along with 200 head beef cattle, go ahead and check out the cattle and pigs, or take a hike through our 3 miles of trails through our woodland!!

Backwaters lodge

This cabin sits overlooking a beautiful view of the water where you will see all types of wildlife. The eagles sit in the giant oak trees just off the porch. Walk down to the dock and drop a line in for fishing. .The state bike/snowmobile/hiking trail is within 3 minutes. The boat landing is 1 mile away. You have your own private dock. We also just added a hatchet throwing target We charge a 25.00 per visit pet fee.
