There are two pubs serving food daily and the Marina Bar with its excellent cuisine. A perfect base to explore the salt marsh coast with its extensive walks Maldon is only a short drive away which is a buzzing coastal town

The Ashdale Bee is the perfect place to relax and explore the local area of Battlesbridge, a picturesque village in the Crouch Valley. Visit the famous antiques centre, walk or paddle along the river or enjoy some food and drink in one of the many country pubs. Jump on the train and travel along the Crouch Valley line to vineyards, more river walks or the quiet, unspoiled, riverside town of Burnham on Crouch. Alternatively, travel in the opposite direction and London awaits within 40mins.
