Close access to westside of Los Angeles (Beverly Hills, Century City, Santa Monica, etc.), and less than one mile from some of the best hiking trails in the city. Located in an enclave of multi-million dollar residences, the Encino area is home to many celebrities, and is one of the most desirable neighborhoods in all of Los Angeles. Explore close by Ventura Boulevard, a 20-mile stretch of shopping, restaurants, eclectic shops and more. Centrally located to Beverly Hills, beaches, museums and downtown, this area truly has it all. Please note that we have 2 very friendly dogs that live in the main residence. They are NEVER allowed in the guest house, whether we have guests in residence or not. If you or your family has an allergy or is otherwise disinclined to be around dogs, it's quite easy for us to make sure that they are confined to areas where guests won't interact with them when they are coming, going or in the backyard. If not, and you'd like to meet our pooches, then "woof-woof," because they'd love to meet you!

Smooth surfaces and warm accents set a contemporary tone. Three acres of gated paradise include a luxe swimming area, outdoor shower, and fire pit. This property sits between the main entrance to Joshua Tree National Park (15 minute drive) and Pioneertown (10 minute drive). This private relaxing retreat location allows you to reconnect and recenter with nature taking center stage. Featured in Dwell, Home Magazine, ArchDaily & Dezeen! This house has been designed to enjoy the natural landscape. Most walls can slide open to have an indoor/outdoor feel. The house has black out drapes for privacy. The pool/spa area is private with three king sized sunbeds. We will provide guests with an electronic code to access the property via the driveway gate and front door. The entire property is available for this rental. We ask that all guests be careful walking around the property as cactus are numerous. Please leave no trace on the grounds and respect the desert and the wildlife. I am available to answer any questions that you have. The property is in an area that resembles being inside the park. Your retreat begins as you leave paved roads onto desert roads composed of decomposed granite (DG) to get to the property. The house guide provides an overview of day hikes in the park. Please ask for any recommendations if you are interested in hiring a private chef to cook a high desert inspired meal, yoga instructor to teach a class or massage therapist to visit the property during your stay. A vehicle is necessary to get around the area. The home comes complete with Waterworks fixtures, Ann Sacks tile, and locally sourced items and furniture. Art by Jim Olarte. Not formally trained in Architecture, Andrew designed the exterior and interior for Boulder2Sky. Mark's family helped in building items such as the fire pit, the gate and some beds. Solar panels are used to help reduce carbon footprint.
