This newly built cabin is located on a quiet gravel road, in the St Lawrence Valley in a remote area between Potsdam and Massena, NY, fifteen minutes from the US/Canada border. With Potsdam and Massena only 15 miles away, you have the best of both the civilized and the natural world when staying at our cabin. We look forward to hosting guests who will enjoy the natural solitude, privacy and aesthetic comforts of the cabin, garden, and beautiful forest trails on our tranquil 101 acre property.

Forget your worries in this spacious and serene space. This 3 bedroom 2 full bath house is perfect for the family getaway or a group of fishermen as well as sightseeing or an overnight stay along your travels. BBQ on the porch, enjoy the fire pit, go canoeing, fishing or kayaking in the backyard with access to the St Lawrence River from Little Sucker Creek, you will be minutes away from the Waddington docks with plenty of room to park your boat right in the driveway, it’s a fishermen’s dream.

Enjoy lovely waterfront cottage on St Lawrence River. Property fronts the river and is flanked by a secondary rental cottage. Located 7 minutes from the Canada bridge and grocery shopping. Great for family gatherings as adjacent unit can be co-rented, providing opportunity to create memorable times with loved ones. Docking available for fishing and boating. Firepit for evening enjoyment. Relax and enjoy the abundant resident water fowl and spectacular sunsets. I am unable to accommodate pets.

Riverfront Apartment, A Place By The River 3

Located on the banks of the St. Lawrence River, this newly renovated, spacious apartment offers magnificent views of the Seaway and glorious sunsets over Ogden Island. Enjoy your meals on the covered porch while watching international ships navigate through the shipping channel to their destination, listening to the Friday night summer concerts, or simply revel in the soothing comfort of the River flowing by. Next door is the town dock offering fishing, swimming, and transient boat docking.

Field Camp

Enjoy a stay at Field Camp! Two sleeping cabins, a suds shack (full bathroom) and screen house in a rural setting await! Nestled behind our seasonal (February-early June) working commercial greenhouse farm, ask for a tour during your stay. Field Camp is a great place to land while visiting St. Lawrence University, SUNY Canton, SUNY Potsdam or Clarkson. Close to the St. Lawrence River for world class Bass Fishing. Cabins have outside electrical outlets and plenty of parking for boat trailers.

Riverside Cabin & Nature Trails

Enjoy our 160 acres in a private natural setting. Owls, trout, heron, osprey, mergansers and the occasional loon will add to your stay. There are over 4 miles of private trails for hiking along the river and in the woods. Kayaks & fishing poles provided. Enjoy a romantic riverside fire-pit, professional massage table & new Finnish wood fired sauna. We sanitize everything 110% before your arrival and offer self check in. We celebrate diversity and welcome people from all communities.

The Mews

Chalet complètement rénové sur le fleuve. Idéale pour canoë/ kayak/ observation des oiseaux. A 5 minutes de marche de La Réserve Faunique nationale du Lac St-Francois. Entouré d’arbres matures, les lieux sont ont l’effet de mettre l’esprit au repos. Les ciels en fin de journée dépassent tout les attentes. The cottage has been renovated in the last 2 years and is charming. It is tastefully decorated and well equipped. The St. Lawrence in all its beauty is at your doorstep.

2 Bedroom Vintage Suite (mid-term available)

The 2 bedroom apartment is located on the 2nd floor and can accommodate 4 guests. The suite is in the Mechanic Block and dates back to 1874. The apartment was restored while keeping the historical integrity in check. With vintage sink, clawfoot tub and 7' interior walls (not reaching ceiling as shown on photos) There is private parking and separate entrance. You get the entire apartment. The main level of this historical commercial building is operated by the building owner.

Enjoy a fire in the fire pit near the shore. The water is wonderful for those swimmers in your family. There are paddle boats and kayaks in season. Conveniently located close to St. Lawrence University and Clarkson.

Tucked beside our small orchard on a 400-acre certified organic farm, The Cabin at Laing Family Farm is a peaceful and cozy retreat where days start with birdsong and end with sunsets over our animals grazing in their pasture across the road. Conveniently located halfway between Canton and Potsdam, The Cabin is close to all four local universities.
