The Appalachian Trail (McAfee Knob), Smith Mountain Lake, James River, and Carvin Cove reservoir are also close. Feel close to nature while being close to conveniences of shopping and nice restaurants just down the mountain in Salem and Roanoke. One bed/bath with a pull out sofa in living room. Pet friendly! Beautifully renovated farmhouse circa 1906 situated on 5 acres on what was originally Maple Spring Farm. Rural country feel with great views of Brush Mountain yet only two miles from the Virginia Tech campus. Within walking distance to Rising Silo Brewery and to Blacksburg’s Heritage Park & Natural Area. Very close proximity to Blacksburg’s McDonald Hollow Trail Network with connections to the Jefferson National Forest, both very popular destinations with hikers and mountain bike enthusiasts.

Windsong Tree top yurt w/ hot tub

Windsong, nestled in the tree tops in the Blue Ridge Mountains, more of a treehouse than yurt! This yurt has internet, an upper deck w/ a hot tub and a lower deck with a gas firepit. There is an outside firepit with fire wood, and the yurt is comfortable year round with a minisplit, propane fireplace and a generator. Enjoy the soaking tub in the bathroom and the walk in tiled shower. A hammock hangs beneath the yurt, and there are two other yurts at different elevations for privacy.
