It is a quiet cottage near many places of historical interest, with great walks, and pubs within walking distance. The area is close to Matlock, Bakewell, and Chatsworth house. Rowsley is a small village next to the Chatsworth Estate, which is home to the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire. Historic attractions include Caldwell's Mill, Haddon Hall and Peak Rail. Other activities on the doorstep include shops, pubs, restaurants and fishing. Peak Village is a 5 minute walk away and Rowsley is only a 10 min drive from Matlock and Bakewell accessible by a local bus service.
