Great restaurant in East Nashville for fine dining. Call the restaurant for reservations, closed on Sundays. I would highly recommend the duck!

Excellent a la carte tacos and amazing margaritas. This restaurant is right near downtown so it can be a great starting point for an evening on Broadway. Wait times can be long on weekends, but you can grab drinks at the bar while you wait.

This is a great bar if you just want to grab pitchers, throw darts, and shoot pool. It doesn't get much more local than this. You will see a wide variety of people at Edgefield. Smoking is allowed indoors, so if cigarette smoke is a huge turnoff for you then stay away from this place.

This is a great bar if you just want to sit around and drink with friends. Don't expect any live music here. They have a great back patio. Order "the bushwhacker" if you're trying to get ready for a wild night.

There are many well known Karaoke bars in Nashville, and most of the tourists will flock toward Ms. Kelly's or The Wild Beaver downtown. Those bars aren't bad, but if you want a real local karaoke experience where nobody cares how you sound and everybody will cheer you on, head straight to the Lipstick Lounge on Woodland. $5 cover charge on weekends.

Probably the best taproom in Nashville, although that is a highly contested statement. Tennessee Brew Works stands out because their kitchen is incredible, they don't have a bad thing on their menu. I can honestly say that the best burger I've had in Nashville is at this brewery.

Probably the best photo spot in Nashville for a photo with the skyline in the background. The bridge runs from Nissan Stadium to the Demonbreun downtown, so tell your Uber/Lyft driver to take you to Nissan if you want to cross the bridge and take photos.

One of the more iconic structures in Nashville. It is in the middle of Centennial Park, so I would recommend going during the day on the weekend. There is often live music happening in the park on summer weekends, so this can be a great afternoon activity.

Book a tour at the Ryman to see one of Nashville's oldest and most historic concert venue. If you have the opportunity to see a concert at the "mother church" during your visit, I would highly recommend it.
