A little history and a lot of hiking trails on the side of Sonoma Mountain, some through apple orchards and others through redwoods. If super ambitious, can hike to the top of the ridge. Also interesting to tour Jack London's home and grounds. There is an entrance fee. (14 min drive)
Enjoy the trails or stop by the museum to take a tour and learn more about Jack London and the natural beauty of the park.
Hiking trails, museum, and historic homes of Jack London and his wife Charmian. The hike to the ruins of the Wolf House, which was to be Jack’s dream house but which burned just before completion, is worth it. Don’t miss visiting the cottage where Jack lived and worked. There are picnic tables on the way to the cottage and you get a lovely view of the hillsides.
