Our volcano is a National Park and was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO on 28 June 2007. I see it every day and it still impresses me every time I see it.

Take a trip up to El Teide National Park (just 51 kilometres from your doorstep). Named World Heritage Site in 2007, the National Park is the most famous landmark in the Canary Islands and is home to El Teide, an active volcano (the highest mountain in Spain). In 2010, El Teide became the most visited National Park in Europe and the second most visited worldwide. Take a cable car to the top and enjoy truly breathtaking views of the island of Tenerife and the other surrounding Canary Islands.
