Walk back in time admiring the iconic buildings. Number 469 is a museum, where you can see how they used to live.

Merida’s elegant tree-lined Paseo de Montejo is the city’s main boulevard and most fashionable district. Once a primarily residential area, the Paseo de Montejo in Merida has since been commercialized

On a Sunday morning this road, and a route leading all the way to the cathedral, is closed to cars and only open to cyclists, skaters, walkers and the like. You can hire bikes in several places but you'd best arrive early as the heat makes sure everyone is up with the birds.

Paseo de Montejo is the most famous street of the city and it connects the old city center with the modern city center. There are many old Historical Mansions, Museums and some coffee places and restaurants along, which make these street the best place to learn about the city history and obviously to find views and spots for the perfect pic. • Biciruta: This should top your list of things to do! Buuut is only available on Sunday mornings until 12:30pm. Most of the city center is blocked for traffic and the streets become one huge bike lane. From the historic city center all the way to the end of Paseo de Montejo. Biking around these historical streets on a Sunday morning is going to be one of the highlights of your trip.
