only 8 miles from the Appalachian Trail and within the Chattahoochee National Forest. The park is named after its most treasured feature, Amicalola Falls – a magnificent 729-foot waterfall that’s the third-highest cascading waterfall east of the Mississippi River

This is definitely a must do! It will be fun for the entire family… And you’ll have an amazing sense of accomplishment. The hike in total is about a little over a mile up and same down. It’s not an ideal hike for a dog unless they’re quite advanced in there hiking skills. There is only a five dollar fee for one car. Certainly worth the time and energy To go and explore this beautiful site!
