Get list in the woods but less than 500 yards or so in all directions from civilization. The falls are special. “Kinda like Niagra, not really.”
High Falls Conservation Area includes one mile of trails that wind through hemlock ravines, alongside the Agawamuck Creek (“Creek of Many Fish” to the Mohicans), and to an overlook of Columbia County’s highest waterfall.
Another favourite hiking spot with a pretty waterfall. Just a 20 minute drive.
