GREAT nearby rooftop bar overlooking the Hudson River on top of The Standard Hotel in the Meatpacking District, 12 min walk, right over The High Line. Drinks market-price, $12 -$20. There's a red velvet rope at the entrance & they may have attitude but it is all for show, you will get in. Tricky to find entrance, it's not at The Standard Hotel entrance, it's on the block around the corner towards the river. Nice views of the river, Greenwich Village; a hip place. If you go there you are being hip AND getting great views, especially on a warmer sunny day.

Dancing to house and techno in a club at the top of the Standard hotel, with beautiful people and even more beautiful views of Manhattan.

Amazing views in a club on top of The Standard hotel in Highline. Dress sharply and don't be offended if the doorman doesn't let you in. Rooftop disco with a pool (during summer) in the middle of the dance floor.
