A stroll along Market Street in Downtown Roanoke provides the opportunity to check out local vendors at the iconic Historic Roanoke City Market, which features local produce, as well as a variety of hand-made items, including arts, crafts, and jewelry. It’s open daily and is Virginia’s oldest, continuously operating open-air farmers market.

So much to do at the market area. Great shops (especially on weekends), restaurants (too many to list), and sight seeing. Definitely check out the observation deck at Center In The Square and the Hotel Roanoke.
