Murwillumbah is the closest largest town with loads of cafes, shops, supermarkets, doctors, great markets and parks. Clarrie Hall Dam is just past Uki and can be accessed via Bryill Creek Road, a pretty drive but it is narrow and mostly dirt.
Human made dam that provides Tweed's water. That's all very nice but there's a drowned forest that you need a canoe to get to. Jaw droppingly good.
