Great snorkelling, often overlooked in favour of Durdle Door (the other side of the cliff). You can swim out to the rocks and jump off (in certain places - always check the landing before you jump) at high tide. A firm favourite with my kids.

Beautiful beach 1 mile from West Down, 25 min walk or short drive, this sheltered beach is really safe for small children, where the beach sticks out in the photo, is a shallow sandy area that warms up quickly on a sunny day. Why not stop at the Man of War Cafe Bar on the way back.
