What was once an outdoor swimming pool, filled in in 1997, is now a colourful dinghy park. The harbour plays host to various cafes and boat trips to the islands can be booked via many different companies. It is also the main venue for 'Fringe by the Sea' which takes place in August and is a miniature version of the Edinburgh Festival. Highlights include the arrival of a Spiegeltent to house various musical, comedy and talk events.
