Monolithi is a long sandy beach, on the west coast of Preveza regional unit, Greece. The total length of the beach is 22 km and it is the longest beach in Greece and one of the longest in Europe. The name Monolithi comes from Greek roots "Μόνος" + "Λίθος" = "single" + "stone", after a projecting rock about ten meters high, that could be seen from the beach until it was destroyed by German and Italian soldiers with mortar fire in 1942. A photograph before 1942 is available. Today the rock exists as an undersea reef 10 cm from the surface.

The largest beach in Europe!!! The beach-jewel that is a trademark for Preveza. One of the unique areas in the Balkans that so harmoniously combines green and blue. It is a sandy beach ideal for lovers of pebble beaches and deep crystal waters. It extends over an area of tens of kilometers, which makes it claim the title of the longest sandy beach in the European Union. Its visitor can visually enjoy either the deep blue of the Ionian Sea, facing Paxos in the distance or the deep green of the aesthetic forest (marked since 1977) of 660 acres, which offers the possibility for a wellness walk. Pebble beach and deep water Blue flag, lifeguards and showers There are beach bars along the entire length with free sunbeds Free parking Accessible by car and with the urban KTEL routes in the summer months Near the archaeological site of Ancient Nikopolis 10 kilometers from the center of Preveza

The longest sandy beach in Europe, with really clear waters and many options to swim, enjoy your coffee, or even have your lunch. With deep waters at its greatest length. However, near the village of Mytikas but also in Kastrosykia it has shallower waters, suitable for families with children.

Huge beach with 3-4 beach bars to enjoy your swimming, coffee etc. Usually the sun-beds/ umbrellas are free of charge if you buy something from the bar! Clean and clear sea especially in the morning (because after noon the swell gets higher)
