A must for many travelers visiting the island. BIC is a chocolate and cookie factory where you can find many gifts for friends back home! Excellent service, presentation, and the desserts are so tasty. We especially like their macadamia chocolate crunch series, and any of the chocolate dipped macadamia shortbeards! You can watch them make the cookies in back of house, too.

Bring home a little something from the Big Island. Big Island Candies has chocolate covered mac nuts, chocolate dipped cookies, and many more. Visit the store and see the factory.

This is a fun place to take the kids. They have the most gorgeous shop decorations, free candy samples, and the kids can watch them make candy. The candy is a little pricey, but uber delicious and makes a nice gift to take home to someone...although I'd eat it all before it got home!

I don’t know why they’re called candies when they’re famous for their chocolate-dipped macadamia nut shortbread cookies. Though this is a big attraction compared to Two Ladies, it’s a hot spot for Hawaiian visitors from neighbor islands, and the local go-to for formal gifts. I love going in there just for sample and the great seasonal decorations (but my favorite is the chocolate-dipped iso peanuts!).
