William Morris once described it as “the most beautiful village in the Cotswolds”. Known for its honey-coloured seventeenth century stone cottages with steeply pitched roofs, it’s not hard to understand why Bibury has been the back drop to many Hollywood films.
Bibury is another destination village. It is famously pretty with the river Coln running through it which also supplies fresh clean water to The Trout Farm which is open to visitors and has a café. You can take children there and fish for trout and then bring them back to the Cottage and cook them. Several parties of guests have said this was a really good experience.

This is a busy tourist spot so go mid-week or early for some classic Cotswold views. You can also feed the fish at the trout farm which is fun. It takes about 45 minutes to drive there.
Local village known for Arlington Row - grade 2 listed row of cottages. Also has the Trout Farm where you can go and catch your own supper.
