Less than a 5 minute drive away, CupCake Lane provides free parking and access to the old railway track and smestow valley nature reserve for lovely walks - you can walk or cycle all the way to Wombourne and beyond. The cafe there is lovely too! There is also a transport museum, free entry with second hand books and dvds for sale at bargain prices.
