Mostly pebble beach with some sandy areas. Make sand castles, collect beach finds. Fishing and swimming on the beach. Your usual beach activities.

There are some lovely beaches on Hayling Island - most are pebbly but at low tide, West Beach is sandy. The beach is sheltered by the West Winner sand bank, a spit that extends a mile out to sea and can be explored on foot at low tide. (25 minute drive) You can park either at West Beach car park or at Ferry Lane car park.

One of the most popular beaches in this part of the world. Can get very busy in the summer and don't forget your sun cream.

This is a fabulous local hangout where you can get amazing cakes, tea, coffee and bacon rolls. Definitely worth a stop when walking along the beach.
