The MIll is one of the classic San Francisco spots that everyone needs to check out. It offers good people watching and good bread—there’s a bakery in here—and the Four Barrel coffee they serve is great. The big caveat here is that there’s no wifi, which actually makes it a good place to get work like writing done or to have a meeting. If you really need to focus, I would say go between 10 am to 3 pm. It gets a lot quieter after the morning rush.

Beautiful space, delicious on-site baked bread selection! Can buy loaves or slices with your coffee.

The Mill has great handcrafted espresso drinks from Four Barrel Coffee and SF's famous $4 artisanal toasts from Josey Baker Bread. (The toast is worth splurging for.) The Mill also hosts a Pizza night on Mondays (6-9PM) and Grilled Cheese & Soup night on Wednesdays (6-9PM).

Best bread in the whole city, hot out of the oven. Into dark, german Rye bread? You can find it here! Local coffee and toast is too good to pass, check it out very early in the morning, before the crowd descends.
