This may not be the thing for everyone, but because my grandfather was a watchmaker, time stands still for me in this beautiful place. Hearing the tick tocks of many timekeepers and learning about their history makes me feel at home. Historically, as the pocket watch was invented just in time to catch a train, a visit to the Strasburg Railroad museum, a half hour away, might be the perfect accompaniment to your sightseeing adventures ... if you can find the time.
