Fastest of fast food but better quality. Hamburgers are hand pressed. Dozens of flavors of shakes and they also sell decent BBQ. Drive through on either side of the black and white building. Great grilled chicken sandwiches, too. $

If you're new to Durham, and are craving for some cheap, late night fast food run, well, COOK OUT is your choice. It's still probably one of the favorites for local college students, so if you've got the heart and stomach for it, check it out!

Known for their drive thru BBQ and more than 40+ flavors of shakes, if you need something fast and cheap, this is a way to go. My kids like it because they have a lot of "kids" options (hot dogs, corn dogs, chicken nuggets, hush puppies, etc). The chocolate peanut butter fudge milkshake is my favorite.

Local drive through known for their trays (hot dogs and quesadillas count as one of two sides!) and milkshakes (dozens of flavors).

When the late night munchies hit, Cook Out is the place to go. Argued to be the 'In & Out' of the East Coast!
