Walk along the beach past the Old crane and the low lighthouse and then past the Beacon hill fort. When you come to the new Banksy, hang a left and there you have the magnificent Dovercourt beach which then leads to Earlhams ( much wilder) and then a little further on the sea wall to Hamford Water.

Another beach only 15 minute drive, not as well known as Clacton or Walton but a hidden gem with a boating lake, skating ring, beach, swimming pool, shops bars.

Light houses and beautiful beaches, you can walk or bike on the wide and flat promenade until the pier. It’s about 40 minutes on foot and 10 minutes on bicycle.
