About Our Club As well as the quality 18 hole golf course, Clacton-on-Sea Golf Club also boasts the following facilities: Lounge bar & restaurant; a warm inviting clubhouse, perfect for the pre match drinks, breakfast or lunch. Sky TV & BT Sport; watch the golf, football, rugby, in the comfort of the clubhouse or stud bar. Function Room; available for hire. Ideal for a wedding, party, anniversary or wake. The Golf Store; run by our Club Professional Michael Goodwin and his team. Golf Coaching; individual or group golf lessons run by PGA Qualified Golf Professionals. Swing Studio/Golf Simulator; located inside The Golf Store. 10 acre practice field. Practice putting green. Practice chipping area. A fleet of golf buggies & trolleys for hire. A 'Halfway House' on the 10th for light refreshments, open everyday but closed on Tuesdays. The clubhouse overlooks our 18th green providing a relaxing atmosphere and a comfortable and social environment where you can enjoy a drink and traditional home made food with your family and friends.

Another lovely golf course 20 minutes away. A game of two halves you have the links side of it and then parkland.

The course (links) covers 110 acres and runs alongside the sea wall and inland to West Road. It is flat, part wooded and part open, and comprises five par 3s, nine par 4s and four par 5s. Total length from the competition tees is 6448 yards and the standard scratch score is 71. For ladies it is 5526 yards (SSS72). There is an excellent practice ground of 10 acres, which is accessed by carefully crossing the 18th fairway. Two practice putting greens and a chipping area together with two practice nets are located close to the clubhouse. Practising on the course is prohibited. The course is well bunkered and fleets, which cross fairways or form boundaries, are a peculiar feature providing many water hazards. The greens, considered to be among the best in Essex, are all watered by automatic sprinklers. There is no out of bounds within the perimeter of the course.
