A favorite hike in Bergen. The view from Ulriken never gets old. As its been laid steps all the way to the top so the hike is really easy and takes roughly 45 minutes. It's also possible to take the "Ulriksbane" to the top. On the top is a really nice viewpoint and also a restaurant where its possible to get a little snack or a full fine dining experience if you book in advance.

Ulriken is the highest mountain of the 7 that surround the city of Bergen. The walk-up is pretty steep but if you are up for a challenge, this is a good exercise for about 1 hour (each way). Drive up to Montana and park there along the local roads. You could also take the cable car (but this is quite expensive). It also has a restaurant at the top with a scenic view.

Ulriken is the highest of the Seven Mountains that surround the city. It has a height of 643 metres. Go for the hike or experience the gondola the opened in Oct.2021. Great views and a restaurant at the top. Everything gets really small for up there, if you want a sense of connection with the city i advise going for Fløyen :)

Spectacular views, amazing hikes in nature. Last time I was here was some years ago before I had kids. Haha! 😀 Im sure families can go up there, I just havent done it.. We stick to Fløien with its playground and little lake and cafes.. 😉

Are you a hiker? Or did the view from Floien simply not give you enough of a kick? Then Ulriken might be the mountain for you. Get up by cable car and find endless hiking opportunities.
