Set on the riverfront and beach area of Broughty Ferry, stunning view and lots of History to learn in museum.
Historic building built in 1490. Has local history regarding the long ended whaling industry and local fishermen and their Antarctic missions. Museum open March through till October, giving panoramic views of Broughty Harbour and the sand.
Who can't resist a Scottish Castle, and they are even better when entry is free! The castle gives you great views along the beach and the harbour, in the summer months you can often spot dolphins. Broughty Ferry is a great area to have a walk round as well with some great shops, pubs and restaurants. The Castle Green also has a large play area for kids.
Free! And great for rainy days with the kids. For an outdoor castle (ruins) experience, drive up the coast another 50 miles to Dunottar Castle . Spectacular!
