The Griffin is a functioning riverboat, driven by paddle wheels, originally modeled after historic Mississippi steamboats. It is located at a mom and pop boat yard, which is quite different from a fancy marina. Work happens here. Metal is welded here. Engines are torn apart and put back together here. **if you are reserving early spring or late fall, please note that, although the tiny house keeps cozy and warm with the space heater provided, there is no heat in the “summer kitchen”, the toilet is in an outhouse and the shower is outdoors. A stay here during cooler weather calls for a heartier guest who is able to tolerate the cold. :) ** A very cozy and rustic tiny house situated on 10 acres mid-way between Duluth and Two Harbors and a short (one mile) hike to the shore of Lake Superior.

Quiet Country House on the Whoopsa Daisy Farm in Duluth, MN, 5 miles from the airport and 25 minutes from downtown Duluth and Canal Park. The barn has animals to visit and the farm will be open for walking and berry picking. Guests can play on the playgrounds, sandbox, Dinoland and Fairyland. The home has homemade quilts on the beds and country crafts. The house can also be set up for craft retreats or family reunions. There is plenty of parking and space for activities.

A unique, octagon, cedar log cabin, situated on 40 secluded wooded acres. A short hike over the Sucker River on a storybook foot bridge to a generous deck which surrounds the cabin. You will need to be physically fit to stay here. You must climb a steep ladder to the loft and do a 2ft step to get off the deck to the marshy land below for making a fire. Also bring a sense of adventure! Wildlife is very near. We do not allow animals or smoking of any kind, sorry.

Wolf Cabin at Wilderness Wind

We are asking our guests to bring their own sheets and pillow cases. Thank you for your understanding. Wolf Cabin is Wilderness Wind's smallest and most secluded cabin on the shore of Lake Armstrong. This adorable one bedroom cabin with kitchenette and kitchen table is at the end of the road and is quiet and private but has access to all the amenities of the Wilderness Wind resort.

Enjoy the beauty of northern MN in this rustic and cozy cabin right on Shagawa lake. Great fishing and close enough to town for easy access to restaurants and shops. Great walleye fishing in the bay directly in front of the cabin. Fishing boat and kayak on site. The cabin is an open concept format. The lower bedrooms require descending 2 steps. The bedrooms are separated by curtains.

Our yurt sits on the edge of a wild woods overlooking a clearing that is an active forest restoration project currently in process on the banks of the Cloquet River. Take a quiet stroll or snowshoe through the woods, fish, swim, view wildlife, or take some valuable time for stillness and contemplation. Hang a hammock in the trees, relax, listen to the birds and watch the river go by.
