Hayloft at The Stables

A 2 bedroom first floor flat with kitchen, cosy living area, and bathroom, above our home on the ground floor. You share our front door, but access the flat through a door to the stairs immediately on entering the hall. Sleeps 4. Bedrooms are in the eaves, so have restricted head room in places. Excellent broadband. It was the hayloft above an old carriage house. A peaceful setting in pretty village, with a pub, a short drive to Diss. We live on the ground floor. Large garden, good parking.

This is our wooden shack, hidden away in our little corner of Norfolk. Stay here and share some of the country idyll that we love. This is a peaceful, remote position, and we treasure the space, nature and peace we’re surrounded by - and hope you will too. The Shack has been built, fitted and furnished using up-cycled, re-cycled, reclaimed, new, old, vintage, shabby, retro, re-purposed or anything different or quirky. We’re constantly adding to it. No telly. Limited WiFi. Time out, guaranteed.

Green Dragon Cottage

Green Dragon Cottage is set in a quiet backroad just North of Diss (10 minutes), sitting at the gateway to the picturesque Waveney Valley. The cottage sleeps up to five guests and is created from former stables and blacksmiths forge. The conversion retains many historic features including wooden beams and pamment tiles, yet with modern amenities including WiFi and underfloor heated bathroom. The cottage has a private entrance, parking and is ideal for families, sat in our peaceful 3.5 acres.

Annex next to a field

A quiet, spacious self-contained annex, well suited for local sightseeing, work or relaxing. It connects to our family home, but has a private entrance (wheelchair friendly) and ample off street parking. There is one bedroom and a sofa bed in the living area. It has wi-fi, a smart tv with Sky & regular channels. You may see our 2 friendly dogs & cats, but they won’t come into your space. It looks out over a paved patio, but this area is for our personal use, as it’s our dogs’ playground.

Mustard Pot Cottage is a charming 18th century barn conversion. The property comprises luxurious accommodation with a pretty enclosed south-facing garden which overlooks a pond. There is a light airy bedroom with a king size bed and a chest of drawers, a bathroom with a spacious walk in shower and a very well equipped kitchen with a dining and seating area. Old Post Office Stable sits in the heart of a conservation area on the Norfolk/Suffolk border. Thorpe Abbotts is home to the 100th Bomber Group Museum. They say that the squaddies mailed their love letters back home at the Old Post Office ! 40 mins to the coast, Lowestoft, Gt Yarmouth, Southwold,, with shopping in Norwich, Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds. 10 mins drive from Diss train station with a direct line to London. There is a large garden with pleached trees and cottage garden style planting . We are tucked away down a quiet no-through road in the heart of the village.
