The Guest House

Nestled within the Jacoby Creek valley, near Humboldt Bay, with easy access to Arcata or Eureka; immersed in leafy surrounds, offering a variety of hiking and walking trails, perfect for nature lovers; this Guest House ensures peace and quiet while being only a very short drive to all amenities. The oversized covered front porch provides a weather protected outside living room area, ideal for gathering with friends and to enjoy the ducks and chickens that amble the expansive country yard.

Guesthouse in the Garden/no pets, no pet allergies

A NEARBY BRIDGE IS CURRENTLY UNDER REPAIR. After walking down several stone steps, nestled among trees and flowers, you will find a cozy guesthouse filled with a comfortable lounging area, and a quaint bedroom. Then exit to the back deck and spend time sitting by the fish ponds, you can venture onward to explore the Secret Garden where you may spot different butterflies, birds, and even friendly bees. Nestled on a point, with spectacular views of the Eel River Valley ranch lands, redwoods, and majestic mountains. It is located right off highway 101 and just minutes to the Avenue of the Giants for exploring and hiking. Enjoy shopping and dining in the nearby Victorian village of Ferndale. It's the perfect central location for exploring all Humboldt has to offer!

Muddy Duck Cottage

If you are looking for a farm stay in the redwoods, come stay with us at this studio cottage with a full kitchen, washer dryer, patio, and fire pit. Enjoy the early morning (and sometimes all day) sounds of ducks, geese, turkeys and cattle . Surrounded by acres of Redwood trees, no street lights, and lots of wildlife. Enjoy the stars from the patio in redwood rocking chairs. The cottage has Roku Smart TV, NETFLIX, WIFI & all basic bath & kitchen essentials.

The house also boasts a hot tub on the back patio and the large front porch is perfect for enjoying a cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening.

The Red Barn Cottage is located within walking distance of the Victorian village of Ferndale. The Cottage is a charming, separate studio with a private entrance, gated patio, full kitchen and bathroom. We provide wonderful amenities including coffee, teas, continental breakfast items and snacks for our guests. A small to medium size dog is allowed but with our approval and an additional nonrefundable pet fee.

Comfortable home on small neighborhood street, less than a mile to the Avenue of the Giants in Humboldt Redwoods State Park. Pets and children are welcome. You have a private yard and full kitchen to enjoy, and a laundry room if you need it. There is a wood burning stove in the living room for cozy evenings. This large space will easily fit 4 or more adults, plus children and pets.

We are walking distance from everything the best grocery stores, restaurants also Arcata community forest and Marsh Winter heating is limited.
