Pastel de Chave is this clam-shaped Portugese delicacy which is made with a puff pastry shell that is filled with a unique mixture of minced veal, bread, and onions.
The European Commission has recognized the Pastéis de Chaves as a product from protected geographical location. This means that no one else apart from the producers in the city of Chaves can claim to have “Pastéis de Chaves”.
As soon as the pastry batch is produced, it is driven down to the shops in Porto and finalized here.

A grill place right in front of the apartment. Very good fish and meat grilled on coals at good prices, restaurant portions are usually huge too.
They also work as a canteen, between 1pm and 3pm you can get a meal, coffe and a drink for about 5eur(menu diario). Only downside I can think of is that maybe they won’t speek english there depending on who is working that day.

Big shopping center El Corte Ingles selling absolutely everything, on the -1 floor you also have a large supermarket there.
A small tip: If you plan to do some shopping there, first go to floor -1 and ask where to make a tourist discount card. It takes just a couple of minutes to get your discount card. After you buy something(Except large electronics) - 10% of the value that you paid will go to that card, which you can then use to buy something else.
