You might miss Artigiano as it is tucked in between two big high street shops (Specsavers and Card Factory). It isn’t the most obvious location for a trendy coffee place, but it serves quality coffee and arty cappuccinos with good vibes.

Not tried personally but all my foodie friends rave about it!
It's a chain but a very decent one. The falafels are made fresh on the premises. The decor is exquisitely exotic.

This coffee shop is for Exeterians ‘in the know’. It is located on Exeter’s alternative Fore Street, in the McCoy Arcade. Well worth the detour, possibly our favourite.
You will also find a Camper Coffee shop in the Language School on Campus.

On Fore Street, this is an Art Gallery and a tea/coffee house.
It is quirky, colourful, inspiring and the staff is very friendly and relaxed. They will allow you to bring a Burrito bought at their Mexican neighbour “TACO MACHO” and eat it there.

Best (and only) take-away burrito in Exeter.
The Mexican chef and owner is a character a tad 'loco', but the endearing kind.
You can order your food and eat it at The Glorious Art Cafe. They are ok with it and will even give you a plate.

Magdalen Road is a quaint shopping street where you will find quality food, coffee shops and gift shops.
It is the 'posh' part of Exeter, but very relaxed at the same time. I recommend Bon Gout, the Deli, for cakes, cheese, hams, but also Gibson's Plaice the fishmonger and for a good Burger, Meat 59.
