The food is always great. Try their signature Trout with Bourbon Pecan sauce, or one of their steaks , if you are really hungry. If you like cocktails, they always do a full pour, you get your money's worth. There is such a welcome feeling of warmth and acceptance every time you visit.

We like to go to Marcos for Saturday or Sunday Brunch. On pretty days, there is seating outside on the terrace. They have the best crab bisque I've ever tasted.

For emergency items, Sav Mor is 2 minutes away, you could walk if need be. Sav Mor is a full service grocery and is affiliated with Ingles, so carries much of the same items. Only down side is that they are not heavy on organics.

I've pinpointed the campground because it is the first place you see after entering the Forest.Continue on Highway 276 and stop at the Ranger Station. There are so many stops, and things to see, from roadside waterfalls and picnic areas to extensive hiking trails, they can help you find exactly what you are looking for. Just be forewarned they are closed on weekends, not sure why.
