Wine, beer, groceries, coffees, candies, fishing bait. Mom's Apple Pie Company was featured in Southern Living's The South's Best Pies, as well as in Country Living Magazine. Milk and groceries if your in a bind.

The Secret Garden Cafe

Tucked away within a secluded garden, this is one of my favorite food spots. Make reservations for brunch because this place is usually pretty busy. The French toast is a favorite of our family’s!

Grind N Crepe

I’m not a fan of the crepes here but the coffee is pretty good, if you want something a step or two up from the K-Cup machine in the house.

Bistro L'Hermitage

If you’re looking for something more upscale, then this is your spot! This French restaurant is both delicious and cozy. I wouldn’t recommend walking as there are some areas without walkway, but they have ample parking. Bistro L’Hermitage is also critically acclaimed and has excellent reviews online.

Madigan's Waterfront

If the weather is nice and you can find a seat outside on the balcony, the view is hard to beat. They have great food but the draw is sitting outside on the patio and enjoying a view of the river.

Take a boat ride or drive to the Wharf DC and you will be greeted by one of the nicest outdoor waterfront areas in DC. The old fisherman boats are still there ready to serve you your seafood as you like, and all the new five star restaurants are there if you like.
