The Niagara river has the highest class of rapids in the world and this is the only place it is possible to see them in safety. A lift takes you to the bottom of the canyon. At the bottom there is a wooden walkway from which it is possible to see the rapids. I can stay here for hours.

Take the aero-car across the whirlpool. This is a cable car linked to two points inside Canada. It offers stunning views of the Niagara river gorge. The acrophobic may wish to give this a miss (or perhaps challenge themselves).

Owned by Niagara Parks, this course is meticulously maintained. It is one of Canada’s most renowned public golf courses, one of 14 in Niagara Falls. Book a tee time at this reasonably priced course. Just don't fire the ball off the edge of the gorge.

To be technical this ride is a Bowsan's chair, not a zipline, but it is a fun way to ride down the Niagara canyon. Go on the illumination ride at night for a colourful experience.
