Try and chose a dry day if you can.

A good place to visit if you like your history. Visit the museum, church, ancient graveyard and Kilmartin stones. Just up the road are the standing stones in Kilmartin Glen. Combine with a trip to Crinan canal . ( separate listing).

Only 3 miles out of Oban or walk along the cycle track from Ganavan beach. You can pay to see inside the castle or enjoy the grounds and ruined chapel free. surrounded by small beaches and a small woodland.

Distillery tours are available but it is advisable to book in advance in order to avoid disappointment. If you don't want to do do a tour you can still visit their gift shop. A must if you enjoy a wee dram.

Based in Easdale the seafari adventure is a great way to blow of the cobwebs, a fast rib takes you on a tour of the area and to the famous corryveckan whirlpool. This tour is a little pricey, you need to book in advance.
