One of the oldest covered markets in France, an absolute must. It’s nested behind a row of buildings, so you could easily miss the arched entrance to this nearly 400 year-old farmers market. But once you walk in, it’s a wonderland of all sorts of savory treats. You can find lots of stands serving food from different cuisines, Moroccan, Italian, Japanese, Lebanese... At lunch time the sights and smells are intoxicating: from the falafel and shawarma sandwiches available at the Lebanese vendor; to the tender lamb tajine and couscous in the exotic Moroccan corner. Everywhere you go the delicious smell of food will get you enchanted. The market also offers produce from fresh vegetables, to fruit, flowers and cheeses, it’s always worth a walk.

Every morning, a group of senior ladies come for a Tai Chi session. At lunch time, employees of the surrounding businesses come to enjoy the peace and quite. In the afternoon, cheerful kids flood the park and the ping pong tables. A very pleasant park for everyone!

The wall, covering a surface area of 40m², is composed of 612 squares of enamelled lava, on which 'I love you' features 311 times in 250 languages. The splashes of red on the fresco represent parts of a broken heart, symbolizing the human race which has been torn apart and which the wall tries to bring back together. This unusual monument, dedicated to love, is located on the square at Place des Abbesses in Montmartre.
