Isola Maggiore is unique in its size, beauty and history. A wonderful day trip on the lake with swimming, good restaurants and a simple but beautiful walk around the island. St Francis of Assisi spent some time here.

Food scene
Delicious views, food and wine - a short drive from our house. Much of the food is cooked using ingredients grown in the restaurants grounds. Fantastic for a sunset aperitif too.
