If it is even remotely possible this is your first time in Carolina Beach, you must take the family to “Britts Donuts” on the Boardwalk. You most likely will have to stand in line to get a dozen or two of these, melt in your mouth, delicacies! You can’t eat just one. Just saying!!
They have been nationally recognized multiple times making the top ten list as one of the best donuts in the nation. Once you taste them, you’ll understand. The selection is simple. Expect to see only one donut on the menu. The plain glazed at Britt’s is the only doughnut they sell, because it is the only donut they have to sell and is the one you really want.
This privately owned donut shop been in business since 1939 and only has this one location.
I know I speak for many locals here when I say we all look forward to the summer months because Britt’s is open! Just saying!!
