One of the best restaurants in Tucson. The interior fuses Mid Century Modern design with a distinctly southwestern feel, and the food does the same, marrying classic American Bistro with southwestern sensibilities. Everytime I have visited this restaurant, every drink, every flavor, every possible touchpoint, has been flawlessly executed.

This restaurant is the absolute best in Tucson. It's not at all unusual for me to visit multiple times per week - it's just that good. The courtyard is super cute - string lights, often live music. It's shared with The Night Jar, which offers fabulous cocktails. Everything on the menu is delicious, but the steelhead and southwind bean salad are just incredible. The ambiance and food make this the perfect evening out in Tucson.

a cozy dive bar filled with retro decorations, like sparkly vinyl chairs, old adverts, and a Cold War theme of JFK memorabilia. The concrete, neon-lit bar features a happy hour from 3pm to 8pm daily. Specialties include a list of five cocktails, four beers and three shots. There’s also a novelty bar indulging in a go-go theme and they play old movies like Labryinth or Forrest Gump. Be sure to order their Bloody Mary with garlic and jalapeño vodka, or a key lime pie cocktail. Also, bring change for the old school pinball machines.

The cocktail bar and gastropub spices things up with their creative cocktails. Their indulgent cocktails range from ‘sexual chocolate’ with vanilla vodka, chocolate liquor and ancho chili to their ‘grow a pear’ with citrus vodka, pear juice and St. Germain elderflower liqueur. They also have spicy and sweet concoctions as well. Happy hour is every day from 4pm to 7pm and late night from 11pm to 2am, plus it runs all day on Sunday. The bar and restaurant has a modern saloon feel, with stained glass windows and vintage beams overhead making it down-to-earth.

It's no secret that water is rare in the desert. Perhaps that's one of the reasons why the reliable oasis at the end of this hike is so popular. Others might include the spectacular views, the ease of access, and the varied terrain, from vast plains to rocky canyons.
