Great place to start a walk over to Cardiff Bay which has umpteen restaurants and cafes. Freshwater lake. Also find here the opportunity to do paddle boarding, kayaking, boat trips up and down the river.

My house is a 2 minute walk from buses and trains to Cardiff. As a big city you'll find heaps of things to do there. You can also take the boat from Penarth marina up the river to Cardiff Castle which is also right in the centre of the city.
