The Fort Worth Zoo doesn't get the attention it deserves from visitors, but locals believe it to be a better quality than the Dallas Zoo. FW received $100MM grant in 2017 to upgrade and expand and they've done a great job! Recommend you take the family to FW Zoo!

This neighborhood, with its rich music and entertainment history, is definitely a place to visit if you are in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. There are a number of really good restaurants and bars, the latter offers opportunities to experience some great live music. There is a nice counter culture feel to this entire area. My favorite patio bar! Warning: Wait times on weekends can extend up to 2-3 hours. TRICK: stop by, add your name to the list 2 hours before- they will add you to an app-tracking list. Head back to the patio when you see your name about 20 mins from the top to claim your seats. Excellent BBQ but it goes fast (if you're going to order some food with your drinks). Friends believe they have one of the best burgers in town.
