There is on-road parking outside the cottage. It is on a first come, first served basis but you are normally able to find parking along the road. If you struggle to find a space, there is also a free 24 hr car park near by: Roxburgh Car Park, Roxburgh Place. Roxbro Pl. Alnwick, Northumberland NE66 1TX. If parking in the centre of towns, you may find it is permit parking only. Pop into a local tourist information shop and get yourself a Northumberland Permit Parking Card - they are £1 each. To use it, simply display it in your window and select the time you arrived.

The main train station is located in Alnmouth. From here to you can catch a train along the coast to Newcastle, Bewick and further afield to Edinburgh or London. There is a car park available on either side of the platform at Alnmouth train station, both at reasonable prices.

There are a number of buses that serve Alnwick, which go from Newcastle to Berwick Upon Tweed. Visit: https://bustimes.org/localities/alnwick for details of buses available or walk over to the bus station, located next to Morrisons, on the main high street in Alnwick.

You are a short walk from the high street where you will find local restaurants, pubs, shops, supermarket (Morrisons) and public transport. As you enter Alnbwick from the A1, you will also find the retail park which has a Marks and Spencer Food Hall, Sainsburys and Starbucks and Aldi.
